A competitive athlete his entire life, Brett was a nationally ranked age group swimmer in his youth, varsity basketball player in high school and lacrosse player throughout college. In 2008 he finished the Marine Corp Marathon and numerous other endurance races but was ultimately unsatisfied with the long training hours and the chronic injuries that excessive running was causing him. In 2009, he discovered CrossFit and never looked back! He has since devoted himself entirely to training others and helping them to achieve their fitness goals.
Brett is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the NSCA, a Level 2 CrossFit coach and formerly spent 5 months interning with renowned strength coach and corrective exercise specialist Eric Cressey. During the Cressey internship he trained hundreds of professional athletes, many with acute and chronic injuries.
Brett is also a father and husband, enjoys meditation, reading and holds a Master’s degree in English.
