As you know, we have kept the garage door open as much as possible in an effort to allow as much air flow as possible. As you also know, it’s been getting cold. The start of this week will be some of our coldest days yet. We’ve always known that at some point we would need to shut the garage door due to cold, and we’re at that point. At the class coach’s discretion, the garage door will be shut on extremely cold days. We will keep the windows open as much as possible and will air the gym out with the door open in between classes. On days where the weather allows, we’ll have the door open.
This means that we will need to be ever more vigilant about wearing the masks and keeping our distance. You have all done a great job with this. Having done plenty of workouts with the mask on myself, there’s really no reason to take it off. Feeling uncomfortable is not a reason to take your mask off, that’s just the feeling of CrossFit. You know how you grab chalk an unnecessary amount of time to give yourself extra little breaks? That’s fine. If you feel like you need a break, do that. Take a break. Grab some chalk. Just don’t take your mask off.
